Day 2 in the books

Two days down, 6568 to go! Sara is feeling much better today and was up walking around without any problems...we got the green light to head home tomorrow and all 3 of us are excited to get to familiar surroundings. Although, I might panic the first time I try to hit the nurse button in the middle of the night and realize it's not there! Here's a few more pictures. The first is Cameron getting her 24 hour weigh-in and back in the comfortable surroundings of the swaddling blanket.

Cameron had a big day today - her first visit from the pediatrician, a hearing test, and numerous visits from the lactation specialist. Everything is looking great and she's much more willing to let us know when we've done something she doesn't like. The biggest thing so far is her hat. She likes to have it on so that she stays warm, but heaven help us when it starts to slide off and we have to pull it back down. That type of abuse on our part immediately gets us a scream that could put a Hitchcock movie to shame...even from a sound sleep!

Word in the halls is that we can expect Cam (not sure if I want to call her that, so let's give it a test run) to want to eat just about hourly tonight so I'm holding her as Sara builds up some much needed rest. It's some great Father-Daughter bonding. I've already explained to her why the new Husky receivers will make Jake Locker that much better and I sang her all the Neil Diamond songs that we just heard on American Idol. Plus, it's amazing how quickly I've learned to do everything with one hand....like writing this entry.

But the real question is, have you bought her a football and a husky t-shirt yet?

Did you explain to her also, why there were no Husky players chosen in the NFL draft?
