routines are good

Well, it's been over 3 weeks now and it's safe to say that we're officially ruled by routines. Cameron is eating like crazy, gets a little fussy between 6-10pm, and instantly falls asleep in the car. We're getting brave enough to head out of the house now - last weekend we went to Home Depot and Lowes, but didn't have enough time for Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It was still a nice, little Saturday - extra points to those of you that get the movie reference! We even met up with some friends on Sunday at Emerald Downs. I guess it's never to early to teach Cameron how to bet on the ponies.
Sara's first Mother's Day was nice. Cameron got her some gift cards to spend on a post-maternity clothes shopping spree. Sara was very excited and said it was a very thoughtful gift. I'm proud of Cameron for thinking of it.

Cameron is really starting to sleep well at night, but that hasn't stopped me or Sara from having crazy Cameron-related dreams. The other day I had a dream that Cameron somehow ended up inside our duvet cover! I woke up and realized that I was standing next to the bed, running my hands gently over the comforter trying to find a baby-sized lump so I could get her out. I kept feeling and feeling and feeling because I was sure she was in there but I finally woke up enough after a few minutes to think to check her bassinet and sure enough - she was there. I've even woken up in the middle of the night to Sara sitting up in bed with her arms shaped like she's holding a baby, only there's no baby. We're officially baby crazy!!

OMIGOD - I used to do the same thing with thinking I was holding Elizabeth at night and sitting there with her in the duvet. Drove hubby and me insane! I got out of it by stopping bringing her into our bed. Keep your bed your own!

Hi Jesse and Sara. Hillary passed along the link to your blog and I just wanted to say Congratulations! Cameron is beautiful. It sounds like you are all doing well, which is wonderful.

Take care,

Kayley
