We had a couple of firsts in the last week or so. I had my first Father's day (it really is all it's cracked up to be) and we spent our first weekend away from home when we went to Granny and Poppy's (Jesse's Parents) house for Mike and Michelle's co-ed baby shower. Actually, that was another first as well. And while we're at it, I woke up on Sunday with my first hang-over in the post-fatherhood era. Those infant cries aren't so sweet when you're head feels like it's going to explode! I really wasn't on the top of my games as evidenced by me changing her diaper and leaving her lying on her pajamas as I pulled the diaper away. She taught me a lesson by immediately pooping on them. Well done Cameron!
In any case, Father's day was really good. Cameron picked out her "I heart Daddy" shirt to wear, we met up with Sara's Dad for dinner and I got a bike trailer so Cameron can join us on bike rides through Point Defiance.
Cameron met lots of Mommy and Daddy's friends and extended family this past weekend and and it sure wore her out. She always fall asleep in the car, but always wakes up about 10 minutes after we bring her in the house, but not this time. We got home at about 7 and we finally had to wake her at 10 to eat before going to bed. She immediately fell back to sleep and lasted until 6:30am! I think it might have been Sara's favorite day as a Mom so far. Probably not, but I'm sure she enjoyed it just the same.
Here's a few new pictures... Lots of smiles and finally Sara giving the new trailer a spin down the road. It's actually her first time on a bike since she got pregnant, but it's, well, just like riding a bike so she seemed to pick it up pretty well.
